⁷ And the men of the place asked about his wife. And ^(A)he said, “She is my sister”; for ^(B)he was afraid to say, “She is my wife,” because he thought, “lest the men of the place kill me for Rebekah, because she is ^(C)beautiful to behold.”

⁷ So Jacob was greatly afraid and ^(A)distressed; and he divided the people that were with him, and the flocks and herds and camels, into two companies.
