²⁵ And ^[a]Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz recaptured from the hand of Ben-Hadad, the son of Hazael, the cities which he had taken out of the hand of Jehoahaz his father by war. ^(A)Three times Joash defeated him and recaptured the cities of Israel.

²⁵ He ^(A)restored the ^[a]territory of Israel ^(B)from the entrance of Hamath to ^(C)the^[b] Sea of the Arabah, according to the word of the Lord God of Israel, which He had spoken through His servant ^(D)Jonah the son of Amittai, the prophet who was from ^(E)Gath Hepher.

^27 (A)And the Lord did not say that He would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven; but He saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash.
