11:15 life from the dead. This phrase may simply denote unprecedented blessing. Although the wording is slightly different from Paul’s normal usage (“resurrection from the dead,” 1:4; cf. 1 Cor. 15:12, 13, 21, 42), some take the phrase to refer to the general resurrection of the last day, understanding the conversion of the Jews to be an event of the end times, an immediate herald of the final resurrection.
