3:18 with tears. Paul weeps, not because he fears someone can undo what Christ has done, but because of the destruction in store for opponents of the gospel. This destiny (v. 19) completes the destructive process initiated by their own sin (Rom. 1:18–32; Gal. 6:7, 8).
