31:25–47 Israel divides the Midianite spoils: half to the soldiers and half to the community (vv. 25–27). As a tribute to the Lord, one out of every five hundred from the soldier’s half, and one out of every fifty from the community’s half was to be given to the Levites (vv. 28–31, 41).
