24:1–53 Each Gospel deals with the Resurrection in its own way, though none describes how it happened. Some things are clear in all four: the empty tomb, the slowness of the disciples to believe that the Resurrection had happened, and the prominence of women in the first appearances. But each Gospel also has something that does not appear in the others. Luke includes the account of the walk to Emmaus and related events.
