22:67–69 Luke does not speak of a formal accusation or of a trial according to proper procedure. The Sanhedrin simply required Jesus to incriminate Himself according to their understanding of the Messiah. This He declines to do, as they would not believe Him. But He does say that a change is coming (“from now on,” v. 69) and that He will be in the place of highest honor in heaven.
