31:31, 32 The new covenant will stand in contrast to the old covenant, in that the new cannot be broken as the old was (v. 32; Heb. 8:7, 8). The guarantee that it will not be broken is the grace mediated by Christ through His death and resurrection (Heb. 9:12–15; 10:1–4, 10–18).
