19:30–38 The desperate act by Lot’s daughters to preserve seed from their drunken father brings to a conclusion the tragic account of Lot that began with his separation from Abraham in 13:11. In spite of Lot’s affiliation with Sodom and the unbelief of his family, the Lord protected his lineage and land because of his faith and his relationship to Abraham (Deut. 2:16–19).
