3:16 offspring. Paul is aware that the noun “offspring” in the singular may be collective as well as individual (v. 29; Rom. 4:18). He is affirming that Christ is the Seed (descendant) to whom the promise finally refers. See “God’s Covenant of Grace” at Gen. 12:1.
