John . . . Mark. Possibly the young man who fled the night of Jesus’ arrest (Mark 14:51, 52). Mark, the writer of the second Gospel (cf. 1 Pet. 5:13), accompanied Paul and Barnabas down to Antioch and went with them on the first missionary journey (13:4) as far as Perga in Pamphylia (13:13).
