Acts 1:13

1:13 up to the upper room, where they were staying. Probably where the disciples had been hiding for fear of the Jews. This may have been the same room in which they had celebrated the Passover and Jesus had instituted the Lord’s Supper (Mark 14:15), or a room in the house of Mary, the aunt of Barnabas (Col. 4:10), where the Christians later held meetings (12:12). It was probably located close to the temple courts where the visiting Jewish crowds were assembled (2:5–12).

Bartholomew. Also known as Nathanael (John 1:45; 21:2).

James the son of Alphaeus. Also known as James the younger (Mark 15:40).

Zealot. Possibly referring to Simon’s former membership in the Zealot revolutionary group.

Judas the son of James. Also known as Thaddaeus (Matt. 10:3; Mark 3:18).
