1 Cor 4:18

4:18 as though I were not coming to you. A group of Corinthians argued that Paul was bold only when absent and that he was afraid to meet them face to face (2 Cor. 10:1, 2). He has sent Timothy to them (v. 17), apparently to avoid an ugly confrontation, but he will not hesitate to come in person. It is up to them what will happen when that visit takes place (v. 21; 2 Cor. 13:1–10).
