ZOPHAR zō’ fər (צֹפַ֥ר, צﯴפַ֖ר). The third of the three friends of Job who came to commiserate him (Job 2:11; 11:1; 20:1; 42:9). He came from Naamah, prob. a place outside of Pal. He was harsh in accusing Job of wickedness and in telling him that he deserved to suffer even more than he did.
