TZADDI tzä’ de (ץ, ṩ). TZADE in ERV; TSADHE in ASV). The eighteenth letter of the Heb. alphabet. There is no corresponding letter in the Eng. alphabet, but it is a strong s sound. In the KJV, ERV, and ASV, it heads the eighteenth section of Psalm 119, in which section each verse of the original begins with this letter.
