TRAIN. The noun “train” trs. שׁוּל, H8767, (Isa 6:1), meaning a part of a trailing robe; 1 Kings 10:2 KJV trs. חַ֫יִל, H2657, train; the RSV has retinue. The verb “train” (חָנַכְ, H2852) means to instruct (Prov 22:6), and the adjective “trained” (חָנִיכְ, H2849) means prepared for war (Gen 14:14). Paul admonished that the young women be “trained” (σωφρονίζω, G5405) to love their husbands and children (Titus 2:4); the KJV uses the verb “teach.”
