A KJV obsolete term used to tr. פְּאֵר, H6996, in Ezekiel 24:17, 23 (RSV TURBAN), where it means an ornamental headdress; שַׂהֲרֹנִֽים in Isaiah 3:18 (RSV CRESCENTS), meaning crescent-shaped ornaments, here included in a list of feminine finery; and יָטַב, H3512, in 2 Kings 9:30 (RSV ADORN), where it is said that Jezebel “painted her eyes, and adorned her head, and looked out of the window.”
