TATTENAI tăt’ ə nī (֠תַּתְּנַי). KJV TATNAI, tăt’ nī. A Pers. governor W of the River Euphrates during the reign of Darius Hystaspis (Ezra 5:3, 6; 6:6, 13). In 1 Esdras 6:3, 7, 27 and 7:1, he is called Sisinnes. He reported to the Pers. government on the complaints made regarding the rebuilding of the Temple.
