SHIMRON-MERON shĭm’ rŏn mĭr ŏn (שִׁמְרֹ֤ון מְראﯴנ׃֙). One of thirty-one cities defeated by Joshua in the Conquest (Josh 12:20). If the LXX is correct, Shimron and Meron should be regarded as separate cities.
