SAMLAH săm’ lə (שַׂמְלָ֖ה). One of the kings of Edom (Gen 36:36, 37; 1 Chron 1:47, 48). He came from Masrekah. He succeeded Hadad of Avith as king, and was succeeded by Shaul of Rehoboth. He reigned before the Israelites had kings.
