SALLU sǎl’ ōō (סַלּוּא׃֙ [1 Chron 9:7]; סַלֻּ֡א [Neh 11:7]; סַלּ֣וּ, [12:7]). 1. An eponym of a Benjamite family which settled in Jerusalem after the Babylonian Exile (1 Chron 9:7; Neh 11:7).
2. A priestly family among the returned exiles from Babylon (12:7), referred to in v. 20 as Sallai.
