PURTENANCE pûr’ tə nəns (קֶ֫רֶב, H7931, within, inward). An archaic word meaning the viscera of an animal. It refers to the “inwards” of the passover lamb (Exod 12:9, KJV, ASV). RSV has “its inner parts.”
