POWDERS (אֲבָקָה, H86). The word is used in the Song of Solomon (3:6) in reference to the litter of Solomon, which is described as “perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, with all the fragrant powders of the merchant.” The “powders” were prob. perfumes, perhaps spices or some kind of incense.
