PELAIAH pĭ lā’ yə (פְּלָאיָה׃֙). 1. A son of Elioenai, one of the distant descendants of David (1 Chron 3:24).
2. A Levite who was present when Ezra read the law to the people and who helped expound it to the people (Neh 8:7; 10:10; 1 Esd 9:48 [KJV BIATAS, bī’ e tes, ASV PHALIAS, fâl’ ĭ es]).
