PALTITE păl’ tīt (הַפַּלְטִ֔י). A description applied to Helez, one of David’s mighty men (2 Sam 23:26). He was an inhabitant of Beth-Pelet. In 1 Chronicles 11:27 he is called a “Pelonite,” which should prob. be corrected to “the Paltite.”
