PALTI păl’ tī (פַּלְטִ֖י, Yahweh delivers). 1. Son of Raphu; a Benjamite leader sent by Moses with eleven other spies to spy out the land of Canaan (Num 13:9).

2. Son of Laish; a Benjamite. Saul gave his daughter Michal, David’s wife, to Palti after David lost favor with him (1 Sam 25:44 KJV PHALTI, făl’ tī). Later she was taken away from Palti and restored to David (2 Sam 3:15, RSV PALTIEL, păl’ tĭ el; KJV PHALTIEL, fal’ tĭ el).
