PALANQUIN păl’ ən ken’ (אַפִּרְיֹ֗ון). A word found only in ASV and RSV in the Song of Solomon 3:9 (KJV CHARIOT). The precise meaning of the Heb. word is uncertain, but it prob. means a sedan chair.
