IPHTAH ĭf’ tə (יִפְתָּ֥ח). KJV JIPHTAH, jĭp’ te. A town in the Shephelah of Judah, named with Libnah, Ether, and Ashan (Josh 15:43). It may be the modern Tarqumiya, E of Lachish.
