IGAL ī’ găl (יִגְאָל, H3319, may God redeem), KJV IGEAL (1 Chron 3:22). 1. One of the twelve spies sent by Moses to Canaan; of the tribe of Issachar (Num 13:7).

2. One of David’s Mighty Men; the son of Nathan of Zobah (2 Sam 23:36). In the parallel list (1 Chron 11:38) the name appears as “Joel, the brother of Nathan.”

3. Son of Shemaiah of the royal house of David, descendant of Zerubbabel (1 Chron 3:22).
