HOTHAM, HOTHAN hō’ thăm, -ăn (חﯴתָ֑ם). 1. A member of the tribe of Asher in the genealogies given by the author of Chronicles (1 Chron 7:32). It is not clear whether the Helem given in v. 35 is the same person.
2. A man from Aroer, the father of Shama and Jeiel, two of David’s mighty men (1 Chron 11:44). KJV gives Hothan here, following LXX.
