Collar

COLLAR (פֶּה, H7023, lit. mouth, opening; עֲנָק֒, H6736, necklace, צִינֹק, H7485, pillory). The word פֶּה, H7023, is fig. applied to various objects (Gesenius, Hebrew Lexicon. s.v. 4:p. 805), including a garment. It is found twice in this meaning in the OT (Job 30:18; Ps 133:2). In the latter context, KJV renders it “skirts,” an obvious error.

Heb. עֲנָק֒, H6736, (Judg 8:26 [KJV “chains”]; also Prov 1:9). These were decorative pendants for the necks of men, women and camels.

Heb. צִינֹק, H7485. A collar in the sense of “pillory” or “stocks” (Jer 29:26).
