CHILEAB kĭl’ ĕ ăb (כִּלְאָ֔ב). David’s second son born at Hebron, his first by Abigail (2 Sam 3:3); also called Daniel (1 Chron 3:1). The LXX has Δαλουιά, in 2 Samuel 3:3, and since in Heb. the last three letters of Chileab are the same as the first three of the following word, the text may be corrupt; Daniel may be correct.
