CARABASION kăr ə bā’ zhĭ ən, a name appearing only in the LXX VS of Ezra (1 Esd 9:34). A reads Gr. Καραβασίων, while B reads Gr. Καραβασειῶν. The name is omitted in the canonical Ezra 10:34-37 which is the parallel passage. No known etymology is apparent.
