CALDRON (אַגְמﯴן, H109, bulrush, RSV rushes, Job 41:20; דּוּד, H1857, pot, kettle; סִיר, H6105, cooking pot; קַלַּ֫חַת, H7831, pot). A large earthenware or metal kettle or boiler.

The דּוּד, H1857, (2 Chron 35:13) was deep, spherical, with small mouth and two handles. The סִיר, H6105, (Jer 52:18, 19; Ezek 11:3, 7, 11) was widemouthed and shallower. The shape of the קַלַּ֫חַת, H7831, (1 Sam 2:14; Mic 3:3) is not certain. See Potter.
