BOSOR bō’ sôr (Βοσόρ, G1082).
1. A town in Gilead which persecuted its Jewish residents and was subsequently captured by Judas Maccabeus (1 Macc 5:26, 36). It is identified with the modern Busr el-Hariri.
2. The KJV and ASVmg. form of BEOR in 2 Peter 2:15.
