Beth-Pelet

BETH-PELET bĕth pe’ lĭt (בֵּ֥ית פָּֽלֶט, LXX Josh 15:27 B Βαιθφαλαδ; A Βαιθφαλεδ; house of escape) KJV BETH-PALET, pā’ lĭt. A city assigned to Judah in the extreme S toward the border of Edom (Josh 15:27). It was rebuilt and inhabited by people of Judah after their return from exile in Babylon (Neh 11:26; Beth-pelet is omitted from the corresponding passage in LXX). Helez the Paltite, one of David’s famous “thirty,” was likely from this city. Attempts at identifying this site have been unsuccessful.
