BENE-BERAK bĕn’ ĭ bĭr’ ăk (בְנֵֽי־בְרַ֖ק, sons of Barak, lightning). Mentioned in Joshua 19:45 as a town located in the territory of Dan. It is identified with the modern el-Kheiriyeh, one of the NW suburbs of Tel Aviv. It was one of the Palestinian cities conquered by Sennacherib.
