BAALSAMUS bā əl sā’ məs (Βααλσαμος). One of the seven men who stood on the right side of Ezra as he read the law to the people according to the Apoc. (1 Esd 9:43). In the parallel passage in Nehemiah, he is named Maaseiah (Neh 8:4).
