BAALE-JUDAH bā’ ə lĭ jōō’ də (בַּעֲלֵ֖י יְהוּדָ֑ה, Lords of Judah). The place from which David left to bring up the Ark to Jerusalem (2 Sam 6:2). It is prob. the same as Baalah of Joshua 15:9 and 1 Chronicles 13:5, 6. It is to be identified with Kiriath-jearim located on the road from Jerusalem to Joppa.
