AMMAH ăm’ ə (אַמָּ֔ה). A hill near Giah in Benjamin, in the wilderness of Gibeon, where Joab and Abishai halted in their pursuit of Abner and his forces after they defeated him in the battle of Gibeon (2 Sam 2:24-32). After a truce was made, the two forces returned to their headquarters. The site is unknown.
