ALLAR (AALAR) ăl’ är (̓Ααλάρ). Not in RSV; KJV has AALAR. ASV ALLAR. Found only in 1 Esdras 5:36. It apparently refers to a place from which some Jews who claimed to be priests came, but they could not prove their lineage and therefore could not serve as priests. It is possible that it is the same as Immer of Ezra 2:59 KJV, ASV, and Nehemiah 7:61 RSV, KJV, ASV.
