AHILUD ə hī’ ləd (אֲחִיל֖וּד, exact meaning uncertain). The father of Jehoshaphat, a “recorder” during the reigns of David and Solomon (2 Sam 8:16; 20:24; 1 Kings 4:3; 1 Chron 18:15), and prob. also of Baana, one of Solomon’s commissariat officers (1 Kings 4:12).
