Shimron, Shimrom

Shimron, Shimrom [Shĭm'rŏn,Shĭm'rŏm]—a guard or watch. The fourth son of Issachar and founder of a family. (Gen. 46:13; Num. 26:24; 1 Chron. 7:1). Also the name of a city of Zebulun whose kings Jabin called to his assistance (Josh. 11:1; 19:15). Also called Shimron-meron.
