Salathiel, Shealtiel [Sā'lā'thĭel, Shē ăl'tĭel]—ark or loan of god. Son or grandson of Jeconiah, son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah (1 Chron. 3:17; Ezra 3:2, 8; 5:2; Hag. 1:2, 12, 14; 2:2, 23). Ancestor of Christ (Matt. 1:12; Luke 3:27).
