Hushai [Hū’shaī]—quick or hastening. One of David’s two leading men, an Archite (2 Sam. 15:32, 37; 16:16-18; 17:5-15; 1 Chron. 27:33). This native of Erech was the friend and counselor of David who over-threw the counsels of Ahithophel.
