Elhanan [Ĕlhā'nan]—god hath been generous or mercy of god.

  1. A son of Jair, who slew Lahmi the brother of Goliath (2 Sam. 21:19; 1 Chron. 20:5).
  2. A son of Dodo the Bethlehemite, and one of David’s thirty heroes (2 Sam. 23:24; 1 Chron. 11:26).
