Adar, Addar [Ā'där,Ăd'där]—fire god or height. Son of Bela and grandson of Benjamin (1 Chron. 8:3). Also the name of the twelfth month of the Jewish sacred year (Ezra 6:15), and of a city south of Judah (Josh. 15:3).
