²³ Be content with what you have, whether much or little,
    and you will not be scorned as a guest.
²⁴ It is a miserable life to go from house to house,
    realizing that as a guest you dare not open your mouth.
²⁵ You receive no gratitude for serving the drinks,
    and in addition you must listen to bitter words like these:
