3 For Christ would not please Himself, either. But as it is written, “The reproaches of those who reproached you, fell on Me.”
4 For whatever things were written before were written for our learning. So that we, through the endurance and encouragement of the Scriptures, might have hope.
5 Now may the God of endurance and encouragement grant that you be like-minded towards one another, according to Christ Jesus.

3 For even Christ did not please himself(A) but, as it is written: “The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.”[a](B) 4 For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us,(C) so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.
5 May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind(D) toward each other that Christ Jesus had,
