4 God will take away all their tears. There will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All the old things have passed away.” 5 Then the One sitting on the throne said, “See! I am making all things new. Write, for these words are true and faithful.” 6 Then He said to me, “These things have happened! I am the First and the Last. I am the beginning and the end. To anyone who is thirsty, I will give the water of life. It is a free gift.

4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes.(A) There will be no more death’[a](B) or mourning or crying or pain,(C) for the old order of things has passed away.”(D)
5 He who was seated on the throne(E) said, “I am making everything new!”(F) Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”(G)
6 He said to me: “It is done.(H) I am the Alpha and the Omega,(I) the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost(J) from the spring of the water of life.(K)
